A rustic and tough look and feel where it's not unusual to see luxury cars, motorcycles and horses parked together in front of saloons and restaurants. Suits, ties and dusty jeans worn by cowboys with stained hats. Some are roundup wannabes while some are real cowpokes. Old and modern coexist. New buildings sit next to ones built almost a hundred years ago. And world-class golf courses wrap around a wide mixture of restaurants, bars and grills, and fun shopping. The Sonoran Desert is beautiful and features miles of hiking terrain and horseback trails. Cave Creek was settled in the 1870s. Its old west beginning was all about mining and ranching. Carefree ArizonaSitting adjacent to, Cave Creek is Carefree, Arizona which is more upscale and affluent. It was founded in the 1950s as one of Arizona's first planned communities. Homes in Carefree are more often called estates. There are few housing clones here. Most are custom designed to merge with the beauty of granite boulders that dot the desert landscape. Beautiful and affluent. Homes are mostly of contemporary southwest style. Spacious with incredible views across the Sonoran Desert and lush golf courses. Homes in Carefree start in the $600,000 range and many exceed several millions of dollars. This is some of the most sought-after real estate and acreage in the country. Although affluent, Carefree is somewhat whimsical. To give you an idea, some streets in Carefree have names like Ho Hum, Easy Street and Nonchalant. Its town shopping area is primarily Spanish Colonial style with a contemporary twist. Carefree boasts of being surrounded by upscale resorts, elegant private golf clubs, fine dining restaurants, art galleries and boutiques. Its allure is affluence complemented with a down-home charm. In fact Carefree enjoys its farmer's market, southwest events and letting its hair down when it's time to venture into the rustic downtown area of Cave Creek..
